After a few weeks from the vaccination, body recognizes influenza virus and begins fighting against it and in this way, flu may be prevented. Especially old people, people in the risk group due to chronic diseases, people who work in crowded environment and people who don’t want to catch flu should be vaccinated.

With flu vaccination, 100% protection is not ensured. Because the vaccine protects from only the flu virus of the previous year. After the vaccination, you may catch flu if your body encounters a different flu virus.

While flu vaccination is able to prevent 70-90% of the symptoms in healthy young adults, this ratio may decrease to 30-40% for old people and people who have a chronic disease.
